A 12-member team of senior officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service visited the headquarters of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Tuesday as part of their study tour under the “Policy Innovation” theme of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) A 12-member team of senior officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service visited the headquarters of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Tuesday as part of their study tour under the “Policy Innovation” theme of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.
The delegation was led by Ms. Salma Siddiqua Mahtab and accompanied by Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Director General of the Civil Services academy.
The visiting officers were welcomed by the Chairman NADRA, who offered an in-depth briefing on Pakistan’s national identity ecosystem, one of the most sophisticated and comprehensive citizen registration systems in the region. He explained the regulatory foundations, security protocols, and technological frameworks that support NADRA’s operations, highlighting how the authority has evolved into a central pillar of Pakistan’s digital governance.
The delegation took particular interest in NADRA’s digital infrastructure, including its extensive network of citizen service centers and its technology-driven services for the Pakistani diaspora.

Speaking during the session, the Chairman noted that Pakistan and Bangladesh shared common development goals and could benefit greatly from exchanging administrative experiences, technological practices, and policy approaches. He underscored that such knowledge-sharing initiatives deepen institutional cooperation and open avenues for regional learning.
The delegation expressed appreciation for NADRA’s achievements, particularly its ability to integrate technology with public facilitation. Members of the team conveyed interest in sustained engagement to explore further collaboration, acknowledging NADRA’s reputation as a regional leader in digital identity management.
The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to expanding the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, reflecting a shared vision of modern, efficient, and citizen-centric governance.
