ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The Finance Division has released Rs11.4 billion for development projects in Balochistan under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26, with funds directed towards road infrastructure, urban rehabilitation and water supply schemes.
According to documents available with Wealth Pakistan, against the revised allocation of Rs19.197 billion for Balochistan projects, actual releases stood at Rs11.405 billion as of May 6, 2026, said a press release.
Among the highest-funded schemes, the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 124-kilometre road from Khani Cross to Ziarat and onward to Sinjavi received Rs1.5 billion against a revised allocation of Rs2.5 billion.
The document further shows that Rs902.65 million was released for the feasibility study for the construction of a border terminal at the Pak-Afghan border in the Badini area and the construction of the road from the Obashtai area to Kahan Daggar (main Badini Road) in the Qilla Saifullah district. The revised allocation for the project was set at Rs1.34 billion.
An amount of Rs2 billion was allocated for the construction of a road from Sui to Kashmor from the same revised allocations.
Gwadar-related projects also accounted for a significant portion of the released funds. The rehabilitation of the Old Town Gwadar project received Rs359.949 million to help improve urban infrastructure in the coastal city from the revised allocation of Rs400 million for FY2025-26.
The Gwadar Development Authority business Plan project received Rs75 million from the revised allocation of Rs250 million. The Gwadar Safe City Project received the full revised allocation Rs1.5 billion.
The PSDP data further shows that the construction of Sibi-Talli and Kohlu-Rakhni roads received the full revised allocation of Rs500 million.

The construction of Panjgur-Gichak-Awaran Road received the 1.5 billion out of revised allocation of Rs1.9 billion. In addition, the construction of the Naag-Gichak Road in Panjgur received Rs200 million during the period.
The development of the Ziarat Town project received Rs300 million against the same revised allocations. The improvement/widening of Spera Ragha Road from Khanozai to Loralai Kila Saifullah received the full Rs200 million revised allocation.
A project to provide necessary facilities, including freshwater treatment, water supply, and distribution in Gwadar, received Rs142 million from the revised allocation of Rs470 million.
The construction of blacktopped roads from Killi Sardar Abdul Rahim Killji, Taftan, to Chaghi also received Rs75 million, realising the full revised amount.
The construction of a blacktopped road from Zhob to Mekhtar received Rs75 million, matching the revised allocation.
Construction of a road from Baikar to Mari Top in Dera Bugti received Rs25 million. The same amount was allocated for the project in the PSDP2025-26.
The construction of a road from Chedagi to the Iranian border in Panjgur received Rs75 million. Also, the construction of the Northern Bypass Road, Loralai, received Rs75 million. A revised amount of Rs75 million was allocated for each project.
According to the documents, total allocations for Balochistan PSDP projects stood at Rs24.492 billion during FY2025-26, while authorisations amounted to Rs19.197 billion.
