Balochistan Health Minister condemns Quetta train blast, emergency declared in hospitals

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar has strongly condemned the Quetta train blast, describing it as a deeply tragic incident and a barbaric act targeting innocent and defenseless civilians.

Bakht Kakar said that the deliberate targeting of women and children reflects the cruelty of the perpetrators. He confirmed that immediately after the explosion, emergency measures were enforced at Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical Complex (BMC), and both trauma centers in Quetta, with all doctors, paramedics, and medical staff urgently deployed to duty.

The Health Minister added that the Secretary of Health and Director General Health are personally visiting hospitals to monitor the situation. He himself is directly supervising relief and medical efforts.

Bakht Muhammad Kakar assured that injured victims are receiving immediate medical assistance and the best possible treatment facilities. He emphasized that the provincial health department is fully mobilized to respond to the crisis and provide care to all those affected.
