Balochistan CM orders probe into killing of Kabul Jan restaurant owner

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has taken immediate notice of the tragic killing of Kabul Jan Restaurant owner, Muhammad Hashim Noorzai, and directed Inspector General of Police Balochistan to submit a detailed report.

According to the aide to CM on Political and Media Affairs, Shahid Rind, the case has been handed over to the Special Investigation Unit to ensure a transparent, impartial, and swift inquiry. Adviser to the Chief Minister, Shahid Rind, said that an SP-rank officer will lead the investigation team, examining all aspects of the incident to bring those responsible to justice.

CM Sarfraz Bugti expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family, assuring them that no perpetrator involved in this heinous crime will escape the law.

He pledged that all suspects will be arrested and punished in accordance with the principles of justice.

Shahid Rind added that Member Provincial Assembly Malik Naeem Bazai and Deputy Commissioner Quetta were present with the protesting family members, maintaining continuous contact to address their concerns. He described the incident as deeply tragic and condemnable, reiterating that the government considers the protection of citizens’ lives and property its foremost responsibility.

He emphasized that no leniency will be shown to criminals or lawbreakers, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to merit, transparency, and the rule of law. He assured that the investigation will be taken to its logical conclusion and justice will be delivered to the affected family.
