QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jul, 2026) Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday met the participants of the sit-in directly at Ziarat Cross, who listened to their demands and concerns in detail and announced immediate steps to address their issues.
CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti formed a committee to consider the demands of the protesters and formulate actionable recommendations, while the representative delegation of the sit-in was invited to the Chief Minister's Secretariat for detailed negotiations and to present their demands.
He assured that the legitimate demands of the people would be resolved according to the requirements of law, merit and justice.
Addressing the participants of the sit-in on this occasion, the CM said that the enemy is attacking Balochistan from two sides, on one hand, it is killing innocent citizens and on the other hand, it is trying to affect the livelihood of the people, while the blame for all this is also placed on state institutions.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said that in such circumstances, the entire nation must demonstrate unity, consensus and solidarity so that every conspiracy of the enemy could be foiled.
The Chief Minister said that the Balochistan government is always available to resolve the problems of the people and the resolution of differences or grievances is possible only through negotiations, mutual trust and constitutional and legal procedures.
He also urged the people to fully cooperate with the state institutions, keeping peace, brotherhood and national interest in mind.
After the Chief Minister's assurance and positive progress, the protesters announced to end the ongoing sit-in at Ziarat Cross and open the highway for all types of traffic, after which the traffic returned to normal.
