QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Special Assistant to the Home Department of Balochistan government, Babar Yousafzai has confirmed that a student from Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences was taken into custody on charges of facilitating terrorists, following the emergence of clear evidence.

Babar Yousafzai, in a statement clarifying that the arrest was carried out strictly in accordance with legal procedures. He explained that once the relevant institutions received evidence, the case was formally brought under the legal framework and all requirements were fulfilled.

The student has been transferred to an internment and detention center, where she is being held under the law.

Yousafzai noted that the detention orders were issued by the provincial government the previous day, and the student’s family was duly informed in line with legal obligations.

He emphasized that all actions in this matter were conducted under established laws and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The case, he said, is being handled entirely through legal channels.
