ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has strongly condemned an unprovoked aggression from the Afghan side along the Pak-Afghan border, paying tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for their immediate and effective retaliatory response.

In a statement issued here, the Speaker welcomed the Pakistan army’s operation, titled “Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq,” launched against Afghan Taliban regime.

Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan’s firm resolve to safeguard its territorial integrity and maintain regional stability at all costs.

He said that Afghanistan has become a proxy of India and is contributing to instability in the region.

Ayaz Sadiq said that Afghan soil is being used, at India’s behest, to carry out terrorist activities against Pakistan.

Terming the night-time attacks on Pakistani border posts as “shameful and cowardly,” the Speaker said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces to defend national sovereignty and security.

He asserted that the armed forces of Pakistan possess full capability to respond decisively to any form of aggression. “The nation takes pride in its brave and valiant armed forces,” he added.

The Speaker also said that Afghanistan has turned into a hub of terrorism and urged the international community, including the United Nations, to take serious notice of the situation.

He emphasized that Pakistan has consistently exercised patience and restraint and has always preferred dialogue to resolve disputes.

However, he warned that Pakistan’s patience should not be misconstrued as weakness.

“By the grace of Almighty Allah, Pakistan’s Army ranks among the best armed forces in the world,” he said, reaffirming that the armed forces remain ever ready to defend the motherland.

He said Pakistan’s Parliament and its people stand united like a solid wall behind the country’s armed forces in the defence of national sovereignty.
