help overcome the current challenges. Talking to a private television channel, he said the focus has been given to ensure availability of petroleum products in the country. We had to change the fuel prices due to rising prices in the international market, he said.

In reply to a question about austerity plan, he said the decision was taken after the consultation with provincial governments.

To a question, he said a committee under the supervision of deputy prime minister would monitor the steps taken for austerity measures.

Commenting on prices of gas, he said, there is no plan to change gas prices. He said that supply of gas has been ensured during the holy month of Ramazan.
