ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The district administration has intensified its focus on labour rights and child protection, with Additional Deputy Commissioner General Anil Saeed chairing a meeting of the District Vigilance Committee on Wednesday to review key concerns affecting daily wage workers and child labour.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Police, Social Security, Health and Labour departments, who discussed enforcement gaps and measures to safeguard workers’ rights. A detailed review was conducted on existing mechanisms to curb child labour and ensure fair treatment of labourers across the district.

Addressing the participants, Saeed stressed that protection of labour rights must be ensured at all costs, warning that negligence would not be tolerated.

He directed departments to strengthen field monitoring, strictly enforce labour laws, and provide adequate awareness and training to officers and staff to effectively tackle child and forced labour.

Emphasizing coordinated action, the ADCG called for improved inter-departmental collaboration to achieve better results through a unified strategy. He concluded by directing all departments to fulfill their responsibilities diligently, adding that regular performance evaluations would be carried out to ensure accountability.
