Attock Police unveil security plan for mosques, imambargahs

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Attock Police have issued a comprehensive security plan for mosques and imambargahs across the district to ensure peaceful Ramadan prayers.

According to APP correspondent, the plan, directed by DPO Attock, covers 355 mosques and 41 imambargahs, with special arrangements at sensitive locations.

A total of 747 police officers and personnel have been deployed, including 6 DSPs, 14 SHOs, and 577 Lower Subordinates. Quick Response Force, mobile patrolling units, and armed squads are on high alert, with strict monitoring at entry and exit points.

Security measures include checking suspicious individuals, installing walk-through gates, metal detectors, and setting up checkpoints. The DPO reaffirmed commitment to maximum security, ensuring citizens can pray with peace and confidence.

The plan reflects Attock Police's efforts to protect life and property during Ramadan. Citizens can expect a secure environment for prayers and other festivities.
