- Attock police sweep district in search operation; two arrested, 28 illegal residents shifted

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Attock Police on Saturday conducted extensive search operations across various parts of the district as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements and suspicious individuals, resulting in arrests and legal action, officials said.
According to details, police teams carried out coordinated checks, screening a total of 363 individuals and inspecting 141 houses during the operation. As a result, two suspects were taken into custody and cases were registered against them.
In addition, 28 Afghan nationals found residing illegally were shifted to a designated holding center in accordance with legal procedures. Police also registered one case related to illegal possession of weapons, while another was lodged for violation of the Tenancy Act.
District Police Officer Sardar Mowaran Khan stated that indiscriminate action against unlawful elements will continue, reaffirming the department’s resolve to maintain law and order and ensure public safety across the district.
