Attock Police deploy special squads for women’s protection during Ramadan

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Attock Police, under the leadership of District Police Officer (DPO) Sardar Mavarhan Khan, have put in place comprehensive security arrangements across the district to ensure the safety of women during the holy month of Ramadan, in the vision Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the directives of IG of Punjab.

According to APP correspondent, special police squads have been deployed at various markets and other crowded public places to provide women with a dignified, safe and peaceful environment while shopping and moving in public areas.

The squads are conducting regular patrolling and remain fully prepared to offer immediate assistance, guidance and a timely response in case of any untoward situation.

Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said that ensuring women’s safety is among the top priorities of Attock Police.

He urged citizens to immediately contact Police Helpline 15 in case of harassment, misconduct or any unpleasant incident, and also encouraged the public to report through the Punjab Police Safe City App without hesitation.

He reiterated that Attock Police will continue strict monitoring and proactive patrolling during Ramadan to maintain public order and ensure a secure environment for all citizens, particularly women, in markets and other public spaces.
