Attack on trader condemned

KARACHI:

The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has expressed serious concern over the shooting of an industrialist in New Karachi, warning of a worsening law-and-order situation and the alarming resurgence of organised extortion networks.

KCCI President Rehan Hanif strongly condemned the attack on Farzand Ali, a member of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), who was shot by unidentified armed men within the jurisdiction of New Karachi police station. He sustained two bullet injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.
