Attack on Ababeel Force in Bajaur leaves four personnel martyred, two injured

At least four police personnel were martyred and two others injured in an attack on the Ababeel Police Force in Bajaur on Wednesday

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) At least four police personnel were martyred and two others injured in an attack on the Ababeel Police Force in Bajaur on Wednesday.

Police said, the incident occurred in the Nawey Kali area of Tehsil Khar, where a team of the Ababeel Police Force was on routine patrol.

According to initial reports, unidentified armed assailants opened fire on the police party, resulting in martyrdom of four cops and injuries to two others.

The martyred personnel of Ababeel Force are identified as Yarzada, Dawood, Imran and Siraj, while Irshad and Aziz sustained injuries.

The Station House Officer (SHO) confirmed the incident and stated that the injured personnel were shifted to DHQ Hospital Khar for medical treatment. Investigation into the incident is underway and a search operation was launched to nab the involved perpetrators.
