QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Acting on the special directives of Inspector General of Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir, the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) has taken decisive action against departmental misconduct, dismissing Sub-Inspector Sheikh Muhammad Ayub from service over allegations of involvement in car-lifting.
According to the official order, Ayub was accused of demanding Rs 1.5 million from a Karachi police team in exchange for returning a stolen vehicle traced in Zhob. The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) Karachi also provided photographic evidence linking him with alleged car-lifters Gul Lalai and Ali Zaman.
Authorities noted that similar incidents had previously been attributed to the officer, strengthening suspicions of his connections with organized vehicle theft networks.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Officials described his actions as serious corruption, criminal collusion, and a blatant violation of departmental discipline, which not only damaged the reputation of the police force but also eroded public trust.
On these grounds, the competent authority ordered his immediate dismissal under the Efficiency & Discipline Rules 1975. The move underscores the police leadership’s commitment to accountability and its resolve to take strict action against any personnel found guilty of misconduct.
