ATC sends 15 accused to judicial remand

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday sent 15 arrested individuals to judicial remand in a case pertaining to interference with state authorities during an operation in the Bari Imam area.

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday sent 15 arrested individuals to judicial remand in a case pertaining to interference with state authorities during an operation in the Bari Imam area.

Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case. During the proceedings, police produced the 15 accused before the court and sought their physical remand for further interrogation.

The investigation officer submitted that the accused had taken out an unlawful gathering and were armed with petrol bombs, batons, and stones.

He alleged that they attacked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) anti-encroachment team, resulting in injuries to people and arson of police property.

The police requested a 15-day physical remand for all 15 accused. However, the court rejected the plea for physical remand and ordered all the accused to be sent to jail on judicial remand.

A case has been registered against the accused at the Secretariat Police Station.
