LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted a 12-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.(PTI) social media activist Farhan Ali Awan, who remained a proclaimed offender in the Jinnah House attack case.
The accused was produced before the ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar amid strict security arrangements.
During the hearing, the investigation officer sought a 30-day physical remand, arguing that the accused’s photogrammetric test was yet to be conducted and details of his social media accounts were also required for investigation purposes.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The prosecution informed the court that Farhan Ali Awan had earlier been declared a proclaimed offender in the case registered at Sarwar Road Police Station under FIR No. 96/23 relating to the May 9 Jinnah House attack.
After hearing arguments, the court partially accepted the prosecution’s request and handed over the accused to police on a 12-day physical remand.
