LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday extended the interim bail of PTI leader and MPA Hafiz Farhat Abbas till June 10 in four May 9 riot cases, including the attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower.
During the hearing, the PTI leader appeared before the court to mark his attendance in connection with his pre-arrest bail petitions. The prosecution sought additional time to submit the record of the cases and informed the court that the record had already been submitted before the Lahore High Court.

Hafiz Farhat Abbas has filed pre-arrest bail petitions in multiple May 9 cases over fears of arrest. The cases include the alleged attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower, as well as incidents involving the burning of police vehicles near the Jinnah House vicinity.
