LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PTI leader and MPA Hafiz Farhat Abbas in four cases linked to the May 9 violence, including attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower, until May 18.
The hearing was conducted by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Manzer Ali Gill. The accused appeared before the court to mark his attendance in connection with his interim bail petitions.
During proceedings, the prosecution sought additional time to present the case record, informing the court that the relevant material had already been submitted before the Lahore High Court.
Accepting the request, the court directed the prosecution to produce the complete record at the next hearing.
According to the prosecution, the cases against the PTI leader include allegations of involvement in the attack on Jinnah House, the Askari Tower incident, and the burning of police vehicles near Jinnah House during the May 9 unrest.
