An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of post-arrest bail petitions filed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi in two cases related to the May 9 arson and violence incidents until February 25
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of post-arrest bail petitions filed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi in two cases related to the May 9 arson and violence incidents until February 25.
The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill, during which DSP Asif Javed presented the record of the cases before the court.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s counsel did not appear to present further arguments on the bail petitions. However, his associate counsel appeared before the court and sought time to complete arguments, which was granted.
The court directed the defence to ensure appearance and conclude arguments on the next date of hearing.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has filed post-arrest bail petitions from jail in cases pertaining to the burning of police vehicles near Mughalpura and Jinnah House during the May 9 unrest.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has already been acquitted in five other cases related to the same incidents.
