Assistant Professor Dr Khalid bestowed HEC Award

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Assistant Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood has been awarded the Best Young Researcher Award by the Higher education Commission of Pakistan (HECP).

According to an official press release, issued by the IUB here, the award was presented to him by HECP Chairman Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar at a special ceremony.

IUB Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Kamran and HECP Executive Director Professor Dr Ziaul Haq were also present.

The award also carries a cash prize of Rs. 500,000. The award reflects Dr Khalid Mahmood’s exceptional talent in veterinary medicine and surgery.
