Assistant Commissioner Astore,Orders Immediate Redress of Public Complaints During Inspection of Gorikot–Shagrthang Roa

ASTORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) The directives of Deputy Commissioner Astore, Madam Neelum Ali, and Assistant Commissioner Shounter, Khalid Anwar, Tehsildar Shounter Abdul Hameed, accompanied by SDO of the Communication and Works (C&W) Department Astore, Ghulam Hussain, and the contractor of the Shagrthang Road project, conducted a detailed inspection of the Gorikot–Shagrthang Road.

During the visit, the team reviewed the ongoing construction work, assessed the quality of the road, and examined complaints received from local residents. Inspecting various sections of the project, the Tehsildar directed the concerned officials to address public grievances without delay and ensure that all construction work is carried out in accordance with the prescribed standards.

The inspection also included an irrigation channel that had been affected by the road construction. The channel was restored on the spot to ensure that local residents did not face any inconvenience.

Tehsildar Abdul Hameed issued strict instructions to the contractor to ensure the protection of public life and property, as well as private and government assets and essential public facilities throughout the construction process. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on quality, transparency, or the timely completion of development projects, adding that prompt resolution of public complaints would remain a top priority.

He further stated that the district administration is continuously monitoring all public development projects to ensure they are completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with the required standards, thereby providing better transportation facilities to the people.

Local residents appreciated the district administration’s prompt response to public complaints and expressed satisfaction over the timely resolution of their issues.
