ASI, constable booked in FIR of raping minor at police post

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) An Assistant Sub Inspector and a constable have been booked in an FIR besides being suspended from their service for allegedly subjecting a minor boy to rape at a police check post at Sehrish Nagar railway crossing.

According to details, the FIR has been lodged at Qasimabad police station on Thursday under sections 377 and 511 of Pakistan Penal Code, nominating ASI Waris Shaikh and police constable Maqbool Ahmed.

The complainant Hakimzadi Brohi accused the ASI for the rape of her 15 years old grandson and the constable for recording and sharing on social media the crime's video.

The SSP Hyderabad Shahzaid Chachar took notice of the incident and suspended both the cops from their duties and put both of them behind the lock up.

He also formed an inquiry committee led by SP Headquarters.
