ASF barrack inaugurated at SIAL

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Chairman Hassan Ali Bhatti and Deputy DG Airport Security Force Brigadier Salman Khaliq Qureshi HI(M) jointly inaugurated the newly constructed ASF Barrack at the SIAL during a graceful ceremony held at the airport premises.

Accoding to SIAL press release, the auspicious ceremony was attended by Member board of Directors SIAL Khwaja Masood Akhtar, Abdul Ghafoor, Chief Executive Officer SIAL AVM Tanweer Ashraf Bhatti (R) and Chief Security Officer ASF Shabab Hussain.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman SIAL Hassan Ali Bhatti stated that the construction of the ASF Barrack was completed in a record time of 10 months, reflecting the strong mutual collaboration and coordination between SIAL and ASF. He further remarked that the project symbolizes a shared commitment towards enhancing the operational strength and efficiency of ASF personnel deployed at the airport.

The newly established facility has the capacity to accommodate more than 200 troops and has been equipped to provide improved residential and operational support to ASF officials performing security duties at the airport.

Deputy DG ASF Brigadier Salman Khaliq Qureshi HI(M) appreciated the efforts and support extended by SIAL management on the completion of the project. He acknowledged that such initiatives significantly contribute towards strengthening aviation security infrastructure and operational preparedness at the airport.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with a joint commitment from both organizations to continue working collectively for the promotion of safe, secure, and efficient aviation operations at Sialkot International Airport.
