Artists seek restoration of agreement signed between Culture Minister, Hyderabad Arts Council

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) A meeting of fellow members of the Arts Council of Hyderabad was held at Syed Zowar Naqvi's house in Tando Jhanyan, in which a large number of people related to various fields of fine arts participated, recognizing the Arts Council Hyderabad as its only representative forum, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the current Minister of Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and the public representatives related to Hyderabad have demanded that they take notice of the continuous injustices done to the art and artists of Hyderabad and also the Arts Council of Hyderabad.

In the meeting, it was demanded that the agreement signed by Arts Council of Hyderabad San Culture Department should be restored immediately and the way of the backers of conspiratorial elements against the artists of the second largest city of Sindh should be blocked.

The meeting also decided that by fully participating in the general body called by the Arts Council of Hyderabad, the plan of struggle for the restoration of the agreement, the representation of Hyderabad in the Artists Law Grant and Endowment Fund Committee of Hyderabad will be presented.
