Aror University Sukkur Hosts PM's Youth Laptop & Scholarship Distribution Ceremony

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur, on Saturday held the Laptop Distribution Ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-IV 2025, followed by the award of scholarship cheques from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Mari Energies, and top-scoring entry test students.

Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, opened the event, stressing the university’s focus on practical skills over paper degrees. He thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz  Sharif and the Higher education Commission (HEC) for the laptop scheme, and expressed gratitude to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah and PPP leadership for their continued support.

Chief Guest, MPA Syed Farukh Ahmed Shah praised the university’s rapid progress and commended the leadership of the Vice Chancellor and his team.

The ceremony was attended by notable guests, including Muhammad Khalid Kakazai, President, Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI), SSP Motorway Police Faisal Akram, Dr Zahid Channar, Chairman, BISE Sukkur, Muhammad  Dittal Kalhoro, CEO, SRSO, Aijaz Ahmed Palh, Executive Director, Sindh Solid Waste Management board and other local dignitaries.

The event concluded with souvenir distribution and a group photograph, reaffirming Aror University’s commitment to academic excellence, digital empowerment, and youth development across Sindh.
