Armed robbers deprive Dumper drivers of Rs147,000 near Bannu road

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Five armed assailants looted two dumper drivers of cash and a mobile phone on Wanda Jamal link road near Dera–Bannu road and fled the scene, police said on Tuesday.

According to the police spokesman, 35-year-old Zubair Ahmed, a resident of Bahadari village reported Guloti Police Station that he and his fellow driver Sharifullah were transporting sand in a dumper truck bearing registration no (TAJ-928, Lasbela) to Wanda Sher Khan. When they reached Link Road Wanda Jamal, five armed men suddenly intercepted their vehicle.

In the headlights’ glare, the complainant identified three of the suspects as Sufyan, son of Pehlwan; Muzammil, son of Nadir; and Ahmed, son of Yousaf alias “Pareshan,” all residents of Giloti. The remaining two suspects were masked.

The armed men forced both drivers out of the vehicle at gunpoint and robbed Zubair of Rs107,000 in cash and a mobile phone. They also snatched Rs40,000 in cash from Sharifullah before fleeing towards Giloti town on two motorcycles.

The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
