Anti-Encroachment Drive and Ramadan preparations reviewed in Attock

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner General Aneel Saeed on Tuesday chaired a significant meeting at the Municipal Committee office to review progress on the city-wide anti-encroachment drive and preparations for the holy month of Ramadan. Officers from all relevant departments attended the session, where detailed discussions were held on removing illegal encroachments, improving urban beautification, and ensuring the provision of essential civic facilities.

During the meeting, Mr Saeed directed officials to launch comprehensive and effective operations against unlawful encroachments, so that traffic flow remains smooth and the city’s aesthetic standards are preserved. He stressed that enforcement must be carried out strictly and consistently, while ensuring that lawful business activities are not disrupted unnecessarily. Moreover, he underscored the need for proactive governance ahead of Ramadan to maximise public facilitation.

Arrangements for Ramadan Bazaars also came under review, including the availability of essential food items at government-notified and affordable rates. The ADCG instructed departments to ensure the supply of quality goods and to monitor prices vigilantly, thereby preventing profiteering. In addition, he called for transparent mechanisms to guarantee that relief measures reach the public effectively.

Concluding the session, Mr Saeed emphasised robust inter-departmental coordination and a clearly defined implementation strategy, as seamless collaboration remains crucial for success. All departments were directed to perform their duties diligently and ensure full compliance with issued instructions, therefore enabling improved service delivery and tangible relief for citizens during Ramadan.
