‘Anti-Drone Unit’ to be set up in all Punjab districts

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The Punjab government has decided to establish ‘Anti-Drone Unit’ in all districts of the province.

According to the spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department, ‘Anti-Drone Unit’ and ‘Anti-Drone System’ will be established under the leadership of the DPO of each district.

These anti-drone units will conduct aerial surveillance of the district with the help of special drone fleets.

The spokesperson said that Section 144 has already been imposed across Punjab on flying outdoor drones.

The Punjab government has banned the use of drones in public due to security concerns.
