Anti-Corruption Team arrested Former District Food Controller Nematullah, involved in corruption of wheat bags

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The team from the Anti-Corruption Circle Larkana conducted a raid on a food Department warehouse in Bakrani and arrested former District Food Controller Nematullah Jeesar on allegations of embezzlement involving millions of rupees worth of wheat bags. Following the arrest, the suspect was produced before a special Anti-Corruption court to seek his remand.

The court handed over the arrested former officer to the Anti-Corruption police on a six-day physical remand. Case Investigating Officer Farhan Ali Bhatti stated that the raid on the Food Department warehouse in Bakrauni was carried out on February 23 under the supervision of a Civil Judge.

During the investigation, it was discovered that 34,500 wheat bags, worth a total of 34 crore 53 lakh 50 thousand rupees, were missing.

Notices of complaints regarding the embezzlement of these bags have come to light. Investigating Officer Farhan Ali Bhatti and Sub-Inspector Abdul Ghaffar Tunio further stated that a case has been registered against the accused, Nematullah Jesar, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
