PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) An Anti-Corruption Court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday sentenced three accused to seven years imprisonment each and imposed a collective fine of Rs3 million in the government wheat scandal case.
The verdict was announced by Judge Asif Rashid after completion of trial proceedings.
The court also directed the accused to compensate for the loss of millions of rupees incurred to the national exchequer.
According to the prosecution, more than 3,000 wheat bags were misappropriated from the Azakhel storage facility, causing a financial loss exceeding Rs190 million to the national treasury.
