ANF seizes over 472 kg of drugs, arrests 11 suspects in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 11 suspects in seven operations conducted across the country and recovered more than 472 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs 136.6 million, an ANF spokesman said on Wednesday.

He said the operations targeted domestic and inter-provincial drug trafficking networks in multiple regions.

In Kech District, ANF recovered 300 kg of ice and 40 kg of heroin from a vehicle in the Jusak area and arrested two suspects. In another operation near Yaroo in Pishin, 24 kg of hashish was seized from a car, and one suspect was apprehended.

Similarly, near Pabbi Bazaar in Nowshera, 12 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, and the accused was taken into custody.

On Hub River Road near Jamia Farooqia, ANF teams confiscated 84 kg of hashish from two vehicles and arrested three suspects.

At a cargo office in Rawalpindi, authorities recovered 2.4 kg of opium and 790 grams of ice concealed in a parcel, leading to the arrest of the accused. In a separate action near Bund Road in Lahore, 2.4 kg of hashish was seized from an individual.

In an inter-provincial operation near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, ANF recovered 4.8 kg of hashish and 2 kg of ice from a vehicle and arrested two suspects.

The spokesman said cases had been registered against the accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997, and further investigations were underway.
