RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dismantled a Nigerian-led drug trafficking organisation accused of supplying cocaine and methamphetamine to students in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

According to an ANF spokesman, the operation forms part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking organisations targeting youth and educational institutions, in line with directives from national and military leadership.

Acting on intelligence, ANF identified a key distributor, Charles Chuka, a Nigerian national, allegedly supplying narcotics to students in the twin cities. Following surveillance, officials intercepted him in Bahria Town, Islamabad, and recovered 10 grams of cocaine from his possession.

Subsequent investigations led to a raid on the residence of the alleged network head, Joseph Chinedu, also a Nigerian national residing in Bahria Town. During the operation, ANF recovered 26 cocaine capsules weighing 600 grams, 90 cocaine tokens weighing 90 grams, and 160 grams of methamphetamine, bringing the total seizure to 860 grams.

The alleged ringleader was arrested, and his vehicle, used for transporting drugs, was seized, while further investigations are underway to trace and arrest remaining members of the network.

The ANF said the case highlighted an emerging tactic in which traffickers introduce cocaine capsules into educational institutions to expand distribution and evade detection. It added that enhanced intelligence and enforcement measures were being maintained to counter such attempts.

Alongside enforcement action, the ANF said it continued counter-narcotics awareness campaigns launched in 2024 through seminars, outreach drives and engagement activities in educational institutions.

The force is also implementing its “Drug Free Islamabad” campaign aimed at discouraging drug use among youth and preventing narcotics infiltration in the capital, the spokesman added.
