ANF arrests six suspects, seizes 43 kg of narcotics in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspects and seized 43.19 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs 4.3 million in six separate operations across the country, an ANF spokesperson said on Monday.

At Bacha Khan International Airport, 860 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) were recovered from the bag of a passenger bound for Qatar. The suspect was taken into custody.

In Lahore, 2.4 kilograms of ice were seized from electrical appliances concealed in a parcel destined for New Zealand at a courier office.

In Hyderabad, ANF officials recovered 20 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle and arrested the accused.

Similarly, 16.8 kilograms of hashish were seized from a vehicle near the Sheikhupura Toll Plaza, where one suspect was apprehended.

In another operation near Babu Sabu Toll Plaza in Lahore, 2.8 kilograms of ice were recovered from two suspects, both of whom were arrested.

Meanwhile, 310 grams of hashish were seized from an accused near a Masjid in District Haripur.

Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway, the spokesperson added.
