Akhuwat distributes Rs10m interest-free loans among 200 families in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) The Akhuwat Foundation has distributed interest-free loans worth Rs10 million among around 200 deserving families during a special ceremony held at Jamia Masjid Irrigation Department under its “Qarz-e-Hasna” programme for promoting financial inclusion and self-reliance.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera attended the event as chief guest while other notable participants included former Member Punjab Assembly Dr Najma Afzal, Chaudhary Aslam Javed, Hajji Muhammad Abid, Dr Khalid Mahmood Shauq, Rana Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Rana Munir Ahmad Khan, Waheed Khaliq Ramay, Saim Ehsan, Chaudhary Shafiq Gujjar, Chaudhary Tallat Mahmood and Regional Manager Akhuwat Khalid Mahmood.

Addressing the ceremony, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera said that those who spend generously in the way of Allah never become poor. Serving humanity and easing the difficulties of others always brought divine blessings and inner peace, he added.

He said that spreading happiness among underprivileged families by sacrificing personal comforts ensured success in this world and the hereafter.

Appreciating the efforts behind the initiative, he said that the mission started by Dr Amjad Saqib had grown into a powerful movement that continued to benefit thousands of families across the country.

He said the interest-free loan program had become one of the largest initiatives of its kind, providing financial assistance to deserving individuals without burdening them with high interest rates.

The RPO advised the beneficiaries to utilize the loan amount for productive business activities so they could improve their livelihoods and support their families.

He also expressed hope that recipients would repay the loans honestly so that the funds could be circulated to help more deserving families in the future.
