AJK to present 2026–27 Budget on June 29

MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government will present its annual budget for the fiscal year 2026–27 in the Legislative Assembly on June 29, according to an official announcement.

The budget session is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Block No. 12 of the Civil Secretariat in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. AJK Minister for Finance Chaudhry Qasim Majeed will present the budget before the House, an AJK government spokesperson told APP on Saturday.

The budget is expected to set out the government's fiscal priorities, proposed allocations and development strategy for the upcoming financial year, outlining key measures aimed at supporting economic growth and public welfare.

The Legislative Assembly is also expected to deliberate on the government's revenue and expenditure proposals as part of the budget proceedings before the start of the new fiscal year.
