MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that public service, good governance, and sustainable development remain the foremost priorities of his government.
He expressed these views on Monday during a meeting at Jammu and Kashmir House in Islamabad with renowned Pakistani-British jurist and political leader Muhammad Taj Mughal, who called on him along with Munawar Mughal, according to official sources.
The Prime Minister said that concrete measures were being taken to ensure timely completion of development projects and to provide tangible relief to the people of Mirpur. He added that the government was working to accelerate the pace of development in the region to make it more effective, result-oriented, and beneficial for the public.
He further noted that key sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, and employment generation remained central to the government’s development agenda.

Highlighting the importance of political stability, the Prime Minister said that sustainable development cannot be achieved without consensus and cooperation among political stakeholders. He urged all parties to rise above differences and contribute positively to public welfare and the progress of the region, adding that the government believes in dialogue, reconciliation, merit, and the rule of law.
On the occasion, Muhammad Taj Mughal appreciated the government’s people-friendly and development-oriented policies and invited the Prime Minister to visit the United Kingdom and Mirpur, which he accepted.
