AJK PM lauds operation “Ghazab-lil-Haq” terming it testament to courage, bravery of valiant armed forces of Pakistan

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 28th Feb, 2026) ?Describing operation “Ghazab-lil-Haq” as a testament to the courage and bravery of the Pakistan armed forces, the prime minister Azad Jammu Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said on Saturday that Pakistzn army's response to Fitnat-ul-Khwarij and their backers has elevated the nation’s pride.

Talking to media in the Federal metropolis, the AJK Prime Minister hailed the armed forces for responding effectively to internal and external threats.He said the Taliban regime has consistently breached the commitments it made under the Doha Agreement.

He, however, maintained that the armed forces were fully prepared to deal with any kind of threat.Referring to the shifting regional dynamics, he said that Pakistan was going through a difficult period, but the nation stands completely at the back of its armed and fully united against the malicious plans of its adversaries.

The AJK Prime Minister Rathore said that the security of Azad Kashmir was closely linked with Pakistan. Reaffirming the full support of the Kashmiri nation for the armed forces, he said that Kashmiri people stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan army.Highlighting the struggle and sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people, the PM reiterated that Kashmiris would attain their right to self-determination guaranteed to them by the international community.?Commenting on his government's performance, he said that after completing 100 days in office, there has been visible improvement in the situation in the region.

?"The PPP assumed government at a very critical time, however, within a short span, we managed to overcome political stagnation, correct administrative disorder, and restore public trust", he said , adding that government engaged directly with the people, listened to their grievances, and took practical steps to address them.

"Efforts are being made to promote investment by strengthening the IT, tourism, minerals, and hydel sectors", the PM said.He added that a separate court and a special portal have been established for overseas Kashmiris to resolve complaints within 90 days. ?"A policy paper regarding the redressal of their concerns will be prepared and presented to the cabinet soon", the pm said.He said that steps were also being taken to create employment opportunities for youth.

?He said that despite inflation, the government has activated the food Authority, deputy commissioners, and commissioners to control prices especially in the holy month of Ramazan. He also hinted at introducing electric buses and launching other development projects in Azad Jammi Kashmir.?

Regarding the presidential candidate, he said that the Pakistan Peoples Party would field its own candidate in the presidential election.?The Prime Minister reiterated that the liberated territory of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has its distinct identity, and its final status would be decided through the right to self-determination. He expressed his confidence that by the end of the government’s term, the people of the region would see tangible change on the ground in terms of development.
