MUZAFFARABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Minister for Kashmir Cause, Arts, Languages, and Environment, Ms. Nabeela Ayub, on Wednesday said that India’s allegations against Pakistan, using the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam incident as justification, were part of a deliberate and organized conspiracy aimed at misleading the international community and discrediting the legitimate freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people.

She said that since August 5, 2019, the Indian government had persistently pursued what she described as malicious intentions to alter the geographical and demographic status of Indian-occupied Kashmir, including the settlement of millions of non-locals in the region.

She shared these remarks while addressing a press conference at the Central Press Club marking one year since the Pahalgam incident, Marka e Haq and in connection with Earth Day.

The minister highlighted that the use of lethal explosives in conflicts and indiscriminate deforestation were major contributors to environmental degradation, posing serious threats to human life. She urged international organizations to develop effective policies to prevent the use of chemical weapons and to ensure environmental protection.

Referring again to the Pahalgam incident, Ms. Ayub said that blaming Pakistan and Kashmiris was a calculated strategy by India, but added that the world was now increasingly aware of such tactics.

She emphasized that Pakistan was a peace-loving country and its armed forces remained vigilant in defending its borders. Paying tribute to the armed forces, she said the nation took pride in its defenders, who sacrificed their lives to ensure peace for the people.

Highlighting the importance of Earth Day, she reiterated that climate change, unchecked deforestation, and the use of deadly weapons in warfare were serious threats to humanity. She called on global institutions to take concrete steps for environmental protection and to prevent the use of chemical weapons.

Ms. Ayub further stated that Pakistan’s balanced and effective foreign policy has enhanced its global standing, with the international community acknowledging its efforts. She added that anyone wishing to witness what she termed India’s “brutality” should observe the conditions and suffering of people in Indian-administered Kashmir.

She urged the international community to play an active role in resolving the Kashmir issue fairly, to pressure India to halt human rights violations, and to ensure the immediate release of Kashmiri prisoners, particularly women.

Concluding the press conference, she reaffirmed that the Kashmiri people would continue their struggle for freedom at all costs and would keep raising their voice for their rights on every international platform.
