ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Commissioner Hazara Division, Fayaz Ali Shah, on Thursday, has ordered swift action against underperforming areas ahead of the SNID polio campaign commencing May 18.
"This is a matter of children's lives. Low-performing union councils need immediate and effective changes," Shah stated during a high-level meeting in Abbottabad. He also directed officials to produce 3-4 demo videos, saying, "Modern training methods will enhance the professional capability of our field staff."
WHO Coordinator Tayyaba briefed the meeting, confirming that polio teams across Abbottabad, Torghar, Upper/Lower Kohistan, and Kolai-Palas have completed their training.
To ease logistical challenges, the Commissioner ordered that remote-area UC Medical Officers submit evening reports to Assistant Commissioners rather than traveling to the Deputy Commissioner's office.

Officials also confirmed the complete repatriation of Afghan nationals from local camps. Shah directed that all records be immediately updated and transmitted to the provincial Emergency Operations Centre.
"Coverage must be highly effective to reach every child, with special focus on transit points," the Commissioner emphasized, calling for continuous monitoring to ensure a successful, result-oriented campaign.
