Agri Varsity VC thanks KP govt for awarding performance-based cash prize

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sarzameen Khan said on Monday that university received a cash prize for its outstanding work which reflects varsity’s great efforts, excellent teaching, research, and good management.

In a statement, he thanked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and Higher Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi.

He said the provincial government now uses a transparent system to give grants based on performance. This system aims to improve quality of higher education. It also promotes better teaching and research in universities.

The main goal of this initiative was to make universities more accountable. It focuses on quality teaching, innovation, and providing better facilities for students. This approach encourages healthy competition among universities to raise educational standards.
