AG university for medical students to set up soon

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Chairman board of Directors of Niazi Medical Hospital Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Niazi, announced that AG University will soon be established in Sargodha, opening new opportunities for higher education in the region.

Addressing a ceremony in Sargodha, he said the youth of the city would no longer need to move to major cities for higher education, as world-class educational facilities would now be available locally. He added that the university was a gift to the people of Sargodha in recognition of their trust and support.

Prof. Dr. Niazi said AG University would offer education and research opportunities in modern fields including medical, dental and health sciences, benefiting students from Sargodha and nearby areas.

The announcement was warmly welcomed by parents, teachers and guests, who termed it a major step toward educational development in the region.

Later, 150 students from the eighth batch of MBBS and the fourth batch of BDS were awarded white coats. The students also took an oath to serve humanity with integrity, sincerity and professionalism.
