Administrator reviews municipal performance

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Naeem Bashir, after taking charge as Administrator Municipal Corporation Sialkot, chaired a meeting of officers and staff to review performance and civic services here on Tuesday.

Chief Officer Zubair Wattoo gave a briefing on development projects, revenue collection, cleanliness, and anti-encroachment efforts.

The administrator directed officials to speed up recovery of taxes and fees and ensure all budget targets are met, warning that any shortfall will not be accepted.

He also ordered the faster completion of development schemes, including the renovation of Iqbal Manzil, the activation of street lights, and the early completion of bus shelters.

Naeem Bashir stressed improving cart markets, removing encroachments, and shifting livestock out of city areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.

He asked staff to work with honesty and ensure visible improvement in the city, directing proper night duty rosters and full uniform for field staff.
