ADC HQ visits fruit, vegetables market to monitor auction process

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Headquarters Majid bin Ahmed on Monday visited the

vegetable and fruit market to review the auction process and ensure availability of quality

commodities at official rates.

During the visit, he met with commission agents and directed them to maintain moderate prices for fruits

and vegetables during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan to provide maximum relief to

the general public.

He categorically stated that hoarding and illegal profiteering would not be tolerated under any

circumstances.

The ADC instructed the market committee staff to keep a close watch on the supply and demand situation

to prevent artificial shortages and unnecessary price hikes.

He also inspected the auction proceedings and checked the quality of produce at various stalls, directing

the relevant officials to ensure the supply of high-quality food items in the market.

Majid bin Ahmed added that price control magistrates would strictly enforce the government-notified rate lists

to protect consumers from overcharging.
