ADC chairs meeting to review measure to deal flood, upcoming monsoon season

CHICHAWATNI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Marhaba Nemat on Thursday chaired a meeting to review preparedness measures to tackle potential flood situations during the upcoming monsoon season.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Maham Waheed, along with officials from Rescue 1122, the Irrigation Department, Local Government, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Civil Defence and other concerned departments.

Addressing the participants, the ADC (Revenue) directed all departments to ensure comprehensive and effective preparedness to respond to any emergency during the monsoon.

She emphasized that protection of human lives and property remained the top priority of the district administration, and called for close coordination and a unified strategy among all the departments.

The officials from the Irrigation Department briefed the meeting on river and canal flows, embankment strength, and identification of vulnerable points.
