Actress Momina Iqbal Harassment Case: Court told Saqib Chadhar found culpable

Session judge extends the interim bail of accused Chadhar until September 3

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 28th, 2026) An additional sessions court has been informed that the investigation into allegations against MPA Saqib Chadhar in the harassment case involving actress Momina Iqbal has been completed, with investigators finding him culpable.

Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui heard the case concerning the interim bail of the accused.

During the proceedings, Advocate Adnan Ahsan represented Momina Iqbal, while Advocate Rana Maroof appeared on behalf of Saqib Chadhar.

Investigating Officer Najam Bajwa told the court that Samira, the wife of Saqib Chadhar, had submitted her mobile phone to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) two days earlier.

He said her statement had been recorded, the investigation had been completed, and the findings held Saqib Chadhar culpable. He further informed the court that Samira’s mobile phone had been sent for forensic analysis.

Counsel for Momina Iqbal requested the court to revoke the interim bail granted to the accused, arguing that their continued freedom could pose a threat to the actress.

After hearing the submissions, the court directed both sides to present their final arguments at the next hearing and extended the interim bail of the accused until September 3.
