Activation of Ghulam Farooq Memorial Hospital in Bulida marks major health sector progress

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on Wednesday said that the activation of Ghulam Farooq Memorial Hospital, Bulida is a significant step forward in the health sector, aimed at providing citizens with quality and timely medical facilities at their doorstep.

In a statement, Zahoor Buledi emphasized that the provincial government was prioritizing the provision of basic healthcare services in remote and underdeveloped areas to reduce the need for patients to travel to major cities for treatment. He noted that the improvement of healthcare in Bulida, expansion of infrastructure, and availability of modern medical facilities reflected the government’s people-friendly vision and welfare-oriented policies.

Zahoor Buledi added that the hospital’s activation would benefit not only the residents of Bulida but also those in surrounding areas, ensuring better access to healthcare and timely treatment at the local level. He further stated that the Balochistan government was taking practical steps to improve health, education, and basic infrastructure, with welfare projects being completed on a priority basis.

He highlighted that efforts were underway across the province to upgrade hospitals, ensure the availability of medical staff, and provide modern medical equipment, so that citizens could receive improved and standardized healthcare services.
