ACS reviews security arrangements in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) South Punjab Fawad Hashim reviewed security and administrative arrangements for religious processions and congregations during a brief visit,here on Wednesday.

During the visit,the ACS inspected the monitoring center established at the Deputy Commissioner's Office and reviewed its round-the-clock operations for monitoring religious processions and congregations being held across different parts of the district.

Deputy Commissioner(DC),Usman Tahir informed the ACS that the routes of processions and religious gatherings at Imambargahs were being monitored through safe city and other surveillance cameras.

District Police Officer (DPO),Ghazanfar Ali informed the visiting official that foolproof security arrangements had been made along procession routes and at venues of religious congregations.

He said security personnel had been deployed to ensure the peaceful passage of processions under a red alert.

Later,Fawad Hashim visited the central imambargah,where he reviewed arrangements for the distribution of cold drinking water and assessed the traffic management plan to facilitate mourners and the general public.
