Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s Fine Arts Committee organized an art-based exhibition, "Tasalsul Group Show," at Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s Fine Arts Committee organized an art-based exhibition, "Tasalsul Group Show," at Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Sindh, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, along with President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah.

The exhibition was attended by Fine Arts Committee Chairman Farrukh Tanveer Shahab, renowned painter Shahid Rasam, Muhammad Zeeshan, Nazar ul islam, Salim Raza, along with many personalities associated with painting.

The exhibition was curated by renowned painter Tanveer Farooqi and showcased 37 artworks by 30 artists. The artists depicted the lights, hustle-bustle, and ever-changing environment of Karachi in their artworks.

On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that today, a large number of painters and artists are present who have beautifully enhanced the environment with their art and colors. "The Arts Council today is truly shining with colors, creative expression, and cultural activities.

I am happy to see that the youth are rapidly being attracted towards art and culture, which is a positive and encouraging sign. We are making efforts to establish strong and active bodies in all Arts Councils across Sindh so that artists in every city can have better opportunities.

Through cultural activities, Pakistan’s soft and positive image is being highlighted worldwide, He added. Muhammad Ahmed Shah deserves appreciation for achievements like the World Culture Festival, which is proof that Pakistan’s cultural identity is being recognized internationally.

President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah expressed that he has known Farrukh Shahab for the past four decades.

"He is not only a talented artist but also an important member of the Arts Council’s governing body. He said, my wish is that just as music, theater, literature, and other fields are vibrant in the Arts Council, the Fine Arts and curating sectors should also be made more active and effective.

We are continuously working to strengthen the various sections of the Arts Council to provide better opportunities to both young and senior artists. The exhibition also displayed artworks by senior artists, which serve as an excellent source of learning and inspiration for the younger generation.

The art exhibition " Tasalsul Group Show " will continue from 12 PM to 8 PM until May 23 at Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery, 2nd Floor, Ahmed Shah Building.
