ACP Karachi hosts “Mehfil-e-Musalma”

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2026) The Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, organized “Mehfil-e-Musalma” at the Haseena Moin Hall. The event was attended by some of the country's distinguished poets, while internationally acclaimed poet Iftikhar Arif joined the gathering via video link as a special guest.

The literary gathering featured poetry recitations by renowned poet, writer and critic Firasat Rizvi, Dr Aqeel Abbas Jafri, Javed Saba, Naseem Nazish, Salman Siddiqui, Shabbir Nazish, Dr Rukhsana Saba, Rehana Roohi, Dr Ambreen Haseeb Ambar, Dr Faheem Shanas Kazmi, Dr Nadeem Naqvi, Kashif Ghair, Seeman Naveed, Tauqeer Taqi, Ahmed Jahangir, Urooj Zahra Zaidi, and Abdul Rehman Momin, who captivated the audience with their distinctive styles and thought-provoking verses.

In their poetic recitations, all participating poets paid homage to the martyrs of Karbala, commemorating their supreme sacrifices and reaffirming the enduring message of courage, justice and steadfastness embodied in the tragedy of Karbala. The proceedings were hosted by Shakeel Jafri.

The event concluded with a poetry recital by Iftikhar Arif, which received an enthusiastic response and warm appreciation from the audience.
